Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on 17 March 1920 in the village Tungipara in the district of Faridpur. Bangabandhu, the architect of Bangladesh, is a charismatic leader, President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He entered parliamentary politics first in 1954. The general elections of December 1970 made Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the sole spokesman of East Pakistan.

Ziaur Rahman was born on 19th January, 1936 at Bagbari in Bogra district in the province of Bengal, and what is now North-West Bangladesh. Ziaur Rahman was an East Pakistani and Bangladeshi military officer who declared the independence of Bangladesh on March 26th, 1971, on behalf of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (he had declared the independence the earlier day). For his role in the Bangladesh Liberation War and as president, he is one of the most popular and influential leaders in the history of Bangladesh.
