Abdul Jabbar  

Abdul Jabbar is a martyr of Language Movement of 1952. He was born at village Panchuara in Gafargaon thana of Mymensingh district on 26 Aswin 1326 BS (1919 AD). His father's name was Hasen Ali and mother's name Safatun Nesa. Jabbar was the eldest son of his family. In the morning of 21 February Jabbar went to hospital to see his mother-in-law. After spending some time with Dr. Sirajul Islam, Jabbar went outside the hospital gate to buy some fruits. The procession of language movement was culminating outside.

Abul Barkat a martyr of Language Movement was born in 1927 at village Babla in Bharatpur thana of Murshidabad district. His father's name was Shamsuddin. Abul Barkat was awarded Ekushe padak in 2000 for his great sacrifice in the Language Movement.

Bir Sreshtha Hamidur Rahman

 

Bir Sreshtha Hamidur Rahman was born in 1945 at village Dumuria in Chapra thana of the district of 24 Parganas in West Bengal. He joined East Bengal Regiment on 2 February 1971 and was posted at EBR centre in Chittagong cantonment. On the face of the attack of Pakistan army on 25 March Hamidur Rahman left the cantonment for his village home, and then joined the liberation force at Dhalai on the south-eastern border of Sreemangal thana in Sylhet district.
